What does 'research use only' (RUO) mean?

Every product is a laboratory reference material intended strictly for in-vitro and non-clinical research by qualified professionals. Our products are not drugs, supplements, foods, or cosmetics; they are not for human or veterinary use, diagnosis, treatment, or consumption of any kind. A research-use acknowledgment is required at checkout.

Who can order?

We sell to qualified researchers, laboratories, and institutions purchasing for lawful research use. You must be 21 or older and affirm research use at checkout. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order at our discretion.

Can you advise on dosing or administration?

Accepted Answer

No. We provide analytical data (purity, identity, net content) and handling references only. We cannot and do not provide guidance on in-vivo use, dosing, or administration, because our products are not intended for use in humans or animals.

Do you ship internationally?

Currently U.S. addresses only. Some compounds are restricted in certain jurisdictions; it is the researcher's responsibility to ensure compliance with local regulations.

How is each lot tested?

Every production lot is analyzed by reversed-phase HPLC for chromatographic purity and confirmed for identity by ESI mass spectrometry (expected vs. found mass). We also report net peptide content, water content (Karl Fischer), counterion (acetate/TFA), and bacterial endotoxin. The full Certificate of Analysis is published before the lot is sold.

How do I find the COA for my vial?

Every vial prints a lot number (e.g. PBL-24107). Enter it on our Lab Results page and the exact batch COA opens — HPLC purity, mass-spec identity, and the full test panel for that lot.

What's the difference between purity and net peptide content?

Accepted Answer

HPLC purity is relative — the fraction of the peptide material that is the target compound. Net peptide content is absolute — the fraction of the vial's total mass that is peptide (the rest is bound water and counterion). Use purity to judge quality and net content to calculate working concentrations. Both are on every COA.

Do you provide the HPLC chromatogram?

How fast do orders ship, and how are they packed?

Orders placed before 2 p.m. CT ship the same business day from our Wisconsin facility, packed with a cold pack. Standard delivery runs 2–5 business days in the continental U.S.

Orders over $75 ship free; otherwise shipping is a flat $6.95. The cart shows a live progress bar toward the free-shipping threshold.

How should I store the vials?

Accepted Answer

Store lyophilized vials at −20 °C, protected from light, until reconstitution. Let a cold vial reach room temperature before opening to avoid condensation. Reconstituted solutions should be refrigerated at 2–8 °C and used within your study window; minimize freeze–thaw cycles.

What diluent should I use to reconstitute?

Bacteriostatic water or 0.9% sodium chloride are standard laboratory diluents. Net peptide content on the COA lets you calculate working concentrations; our product pages include a reconstitution calculator that does the arithmetic.

What if my order arrives damaged or the cold pack failed?

Contact support within 30 days with your order number and a photo. If an order arrived damaged, mis-shipped, or with compromised cold-chain packaging, we reship at no cost — no return needed.

Can I return an opened vial?

Accepted Answer

Because these are research reference materials, opened vials are not returnable for safety and integrity reasons. Unopened vials may be returned within 30 days of delivery in original condition. We always make a genuine shipping error right.
